Our Story
Founded in 1977, Ventana Wildlife Society successfully reintroduced two iconic birds, the Bald Eagle and the California Condor, to their native habitats in central California. Our organizational culture supports science, education, and collaboration. Our approach allows us to address tomorrow's challenges and helps us to inspire the next generation of wildlife stewards.
Ventana Wildlife Society is supported by individual members, foundations, corporate sponsors, collaborators, and in-kind donors through donations, grants, contracts and in-kind goods and services.

“Ventana Wildlife Society exemplifies a public/private partnership at its best. They have succeeded in not only introducing many to the wonders of our natural world and the challenges facing it, but have actually accomplished the restoration of wildlife and rehabilitation of habitat to address those challenges.
