Valerie Aring bio
Valerie Aring recently graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science from California State University, Monterey Bay. She has conducted research on condor populations with Ventana Wildlife Society and Pinnacles National Park, including her senior capstone project, and participated in a research expedition to Costa Rica with the CSU-Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program. Valerie is passionate about conservation and making nature accessible to all. She is thrilled to intern with the VWS condor program, where she enjoys observing the birds’ unique personalities and contributing to their care. Liz libert bio
Elizabeth “Liz” Libert holds a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has experience in wildlife rehabilitation and husbandry at Dane County Humane Society’s Wildlife Center and Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary, and has worked as a field technician with Klamath Bird Observatory and Tennessee Tech University. Liz has also assisted the Yurok Tribe with the Pacific Northwest condor flock, including the 2024 releases. Fascinated by wildlife and animal behavior, she is passionate about conserving endangered species and is excited to contribute to Ventana Wildlife Society’s efforts with California condors. |
