A long-time Ventana Wildlife Society volunteer, tracking condors along the central coast and sharing their world through his photography, software engineer Tim Huntington joined our staff in a greater capacity to develop and maintain a centralized database for condors. Called CACO Central, this app is used daily by biologists throughout the condor range in the U.S., allowing them more efficient data collection in the field, and freeing them up to devote more time to the direct care of the birds. Given his technical background and obvious love of condors, he is happy to be using his special skill set for a cause he truly believes in. In his words, it’s a dream come true.
