Scary Spice (906) was named after a particularly fierce member of the popular 90’s girl group Spice Girls. From the moment we released her from her kennel into the release pen, we knew this bird would be one to watch! While most condors run immediately away from the door towards the perches, Scary Spice (906) turned around and tried to bite the biologists! She kept that energy with her fellow captive condors, and was the definitive queen of the release pen. All the other birds deferred to her, and she always had the final say. After her release Scary Spice (906) loved to explore her surroundings - even making occasional visits to downtown Cambria!
