When Condor (769) first appeared at our remote release site in early January, we couldn't believe our eyes - it was an un-tagged "newly minted" baby condor looking fresh and sleek! Every Condor in the flock has an ID tag and transmitter on at least one of their wings. So you can imagine the surprise and relief we felt when we identified this guy as an unexpected addition to the flock! Of the many names that were voted on for this attractive young Condor, "Mystery" was a no-brainer and the perfect fit. We had to wait for the results of a blood test to determine the parentage of this bird - turns out it was Condor (242) and Condor (311)!
