Boeing (747) is aptly named for the airline company. Not only does her studbook number, (747), remind us of the iconic plane, but her ambitious nature and desire to, quite literally, climb to the top makes Boeing (747) the perfect name for this eager condor. During her pre-release days, Boeing (747) spent much of her time climbing to the top of the flight pen and trying to find ways to socialize with wild birds. Nothing will stop this driven, young condor from achieving great things in the wild!
In the years since her release into the wild, Boeing’s (747) ambition took her farther inland, where she met Pinnacles condor 606. The two successfully nested together and raised Condor 1034 in 2020. Sadly, Condor 606 died from lead poisoning in 2021, but Boeing (747) continued to defend their nesting territory on her own. In 2022, she paired with Pinnacles Condor 800. Boeing (747) showed her mettle again that year and was an excellent mother to condor 1175, whom she raised with Condor 800 in the same territory she had previously occupied with Condor 606.
