Bucky (1087) was named after the flower Eriogonum fasciculatum. Commonly known as California Buckwheat, this plant is a part of the diverse, native flora of California's central coast and supports the survival of the endangered Smith's Blue Butterfly. Bucky (1087) is proving to have one of the sillier personalities in his cohort. When he's not hanging out with his buddy, Wild Bill (1085), Bucky (1087) zooms around the pen really fast in short bursts. He'll then settle down and take a break for a bit, but once he's rested, Bucky (1087) is right back at it! This bird tends to be less predictable and wilier than the other birds, but that's alright. We love him just the same!
