Shaelie began working with Ventana Wildlife Society as a service-learning intern in the fall of 2021, as part of her studies at California State University Monterey Bay, where she is majoring in Social Science with a concentration in Sociology. She joined the education team as a part-time instructor in the winter of 2021 and is looking forward to growing and learning with the community youth that VWS serves. Shaelie enjoys spending her free time cooking, hiking with her dog Layla, snowboarding, paddle boarding, and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
