Areas of Expertise
We’re glad to welcome Liz back to the central coast, where she taught our Natural Science Discovery Camp in 2003 before moving on to teaching positions on Catalina Island, Point Reyes National Seashore, Yosemite National Park, and most recently, South Lake Tahoe. She spent 10 years at South Lake Tahoe, where she taught environmental and humane education to K-12 students. She has also been a Science Laboratory Instructional Support Technician at CSU Monterey Bay. A San Francisco native, she graduated with a B.A. in Biology from UC Santa Cruz and a life science teaching credential from Chapman University (Orange, California). Her passions include hiking and backpacking, kayaking, cross country skiing, road cycling, and mountain biking – some of which she enjoys locally on Fort Ord. She is excited to be back on the coast working as Education Program Coordinator with Ventana Wildlife Society!
