Derek joined Ventana Wildlife Society in February of 2023 working in the Free Non-lead Ammunition Program as an Outreach Specialist. Derek comes to us after retiring from CAL FIRE in 2018 with over 30 years of service. Derek was raised in rural Santa Cruz County. He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and helping friends on their cattle ranches.
