Pongo (1226) is nicknamed after the genus for orangutans of Borneo and Sumatra – As first, we couldn’t discern a personality for him. He fit in with the other birds who loved to perch on the scale inside the pen. Hatched at LA Zoo and released in San Simeon on November 6, 2024, we are happy to see him in the wild!
