Nicknamed after the rusty patched bumblebee of eastern North America – Rusty (1181) is figuratively "the odd man out" as he was the only one with a red tag in his cohort. Hatched at LA Zoo, he was released on November 6, 2024, in San Simeon, CA. We don't know much about Rusty (1181)'s personality at this time and we look forward to getting to know him!
